Are you happy? If the answer is yes, that is terrific. That is what we are really wanting. We want to be happy. If the answer is no. You are not happy, then the question is why not? That can be a tough question to answer. We all know people who have a ton of problems but appear happy, who are broke and seem happy, or are sick and still happy. Then we all know people who never seem happy, no matter what. Sometimes I have gotten myself in that rut. I have gotten myself into situations that simply made me unhappy. The first thing to do is to visualize what it feels like to be really happy. Set aside the lousy relationship you are in or your low bank account for a minute. Visualize what it feels like to be in a happy situation, really feel it. Once you really know what it feels like to be happy, it is sometimes easier to see what is causing your problems and solutions will come to you. Once you know what it really feels like to be happy, it is easier to recognize those situations that are going to be downers and you can avoid them or at least deal with them in a more productive way.
